Solar Panel Cleaning

Dust, pollen, lichen and bird droppings build up on solar panels over time. We clean them gently with purified water and soft brushes, with no detergents that could damage the cells or void a warranty.

What's included

Solar Panel Cleaning, done properly

  • Purified water and soft brushes, no detergents

  • Removes dust, pollen, lichen and bird droppings

  • Gentle process that will not scratch the panels

  • Reached safely with a water-fed pole system

Our process

How we clean it

  1. Check the panels and access

We look at the roof pitch and panel layout to plan a safe cleaning approach from ground level.

  2. Clean with purified water

A soft brush head and purified water lift dust, pollen and bird droppings without scrubbing hard at the glass.

  3. Rinse and leave to dry

Purified water dries without spots, so no film is left across the cells once the pole moves on.

  4. No detergents, ever

We avoid detergents and abrasive tools that could damage the panel coating or affect a manufacturer's warranty.

Tools & equipment we use

  • Telescopic water-fed pole
  • Purified (deionised) water system
  • Soft brush head suited to solar glass
  • Ground-based access equipment

Our recommendation

Panels tend to lose a little efficiency as dust and grime build up, so a clean once or twice a year is common, more often near trees or busy roads. It's always worth checking your panel warranty terms before any cleaning company works on them, ours included.
